Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Power Equipment Production Base of Guangxi Mingdian Electric Co., Ltd. under Mingdian Group

On the morning of March 10, 2022, the groundbreaking ceremony for the power equipment production base of Guangxi Mingdian Electric Co., Ltd. of Mingdian Group was held in Wutang Industrial Zone, Xingning District, Nanning City, Guangxi.

Chen Jun, Chairman of Mingdian Group, introduced in his speech that the total investment of the project is approximately 500 million yuan. Upon completion and operation, the project is expected to achieve an annual industrial output value of over 1 billion yuan. It will annually manufacture 5,000 sets of intelligent switchgears, 2,000 sets of box-type substations, 5,000 energy-saving transformers and other power equipment products. The base will contribute more than 30 million yuan in annual local tax revenue and provide over 500 jobs.

Chen Jun stated that with the large-scale application of smart grids across China in recent years, power equipment manufacturers have set off an upsurge in the R&D and production of intelligent power equipment. Driven by the national strategic goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, investment in the new energy industry has increased sharply, making it the core market for intelligent and energy-saving power equipment. Mingdian Group will invest heavily in the research and development of intelligent and energy-saving power equipment, accelerate its industrial layout in smart grids and new energy sectors, and firmly seize valuable development opportunities. The Group will continuously optimize its industrial layout, enhance comprehensive power service capabilities, consolidate the domestic market with high-quality services, and expand overseas business.

Chen Yaolong, President of Nanning-Beihai Chamber of Commerce, remarked that Chen Jun, Chairman of Mingdian Group, also serves as the Supervisor-General of the Chamber. Covering a land area of 134 mu with a construction area of 108,200 square meters, the project will construct supporting infrastructure including 2 steel-structured production workshops, 5 multi-storey factory buildings, 1 office building and 1 staff dormitory. Guangxi Mingdian Electric Co., Ltd. mainly produces intelligent ring main units, high and low voltage switchgears, box-type substations, energy-saving transformers, bus ducts and other power equipment.
